Welcome to my website! I’m Myrna CG Mibus, a writer and bookseller based in Northfield, Minnesota. Though I’ve written about topics ranging from aviation to afternoon tea, most of my work now is focused on writing about family, motherhood, and life. I’m a private pilot, fledgling bicyclist, amateur baker, and mom of two young adults. After raising our kids out in the country on a residentail airport (yes, we had a runway in our backyard), my husband, Owen, and I recently downsized and moved to the town of Northfield with our Border Terrier, Rocket.

My name, I realize, is a bit of a puzzle with two middle initials. My parents named me Myrna Christine Gatheridge. When I got married to Owen I didn’t want to give up my Gatheridge name but also wanted to work Mibus into my name somehow. Hyphenating Gatheridge-Mibus seemed awkward so I chose the very long Myrna Christine Gatheridge Mibus which, I quickly realized, was also awkward and much too long to write out. Long name story short, I sign my name Myrna CG Mibus.
